Background

I have been involved with art in various forms all my life; before the pandemic I worked a lot with the Museums and Art Galleries in Sheffield, teaching Print Making, Portrait Painting & Sculpture, running art activities for School groups and Sculpture Summer Schools and giving guided tours of the Galleries.

Workshops include a Dementia cafe, Sheffield's Children’s Hospital, Paces Specialist School, PGCE students and Inset days for teachers. l learned Printmaking with Sheffield artist Lesley Warren and my main creative influences are Paula Rego, Chagall, Miyazaki, Nikki De Saint Phalle, Joanna Vasconcelos, and Yayoi Kusama.

I began my professional acting career in 1983 after graduating from the brilliant Hull University with a BA Tons in Drama.

My background is mostly in Theatre, and I spent 7 years touring Shakespeare, Beckett, Jonson, Homer and new plays with Sheffield based Compass Theatre Company, performing throughout the UK and in Holland, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea and the Philippines.
